The Bosch washing machine, like all modern washing machines, is equipped with a self-diagnosis system. Thanks to her, the washing machine itself reveals breakdowns at their very early stages.
The user learns about the results of the self-diagnosis system through an electronic display. But what the F61 error means, and what to do when it appears, is not written on the screen.
Read this article to the end and find out everything: why it gives an error, how to reset errors and how to fix the malfunction that caused the error.
Code value decryption
If the Bosch washing machine shows error F 61, the corresponding code is displayed. This simple combination means that the wrong door (hatch) code has occurred.
This is expressed in the fact that the SM does not start washing and cannot block the hatch.
Self check
To confirm the malfunction (perhaps this is just a software failure, not a breakdown), you need to follow this scheme:
- Disconnect the AGR from the mains.
- Wait 15-20 minutes for the control unit to reboot.
- Reset the error by pressing the “START” (On / Off) button.
- Check the sunroof lock.
The malfunction is confirmed, you start the wash, but the machine does not want to wash and lock the hatch, it still shows an error on the display. It will take a partial disassembly of the washing machine for its independent repair, and maybe even a call to the master.
Usually, if F 61 is on, the following repairs are needed:
- Replacing UBL (sunroof locking device).
- Repair or replacement of the control board.
- Check and possible replacement of wiring going to UBL.
Next, we will understand everything in order and find the optimal solution to the problem for your SM Bosch.
How to fix a mistake and close the washing machine
In order to close the hatch of the Bosch washing machine, and thereby remove the annoying mistake, you need to figure out what triggered this failure.
Unable to lock closed hatch
This failure is usually not typical for the Bosch brand, but it happens for the first time.
The malfunction is caused by a broken guide. If this element is plastic, then it is at risk and may break at any time. This part can be found under the locking tab and checked.
Damage to the guide may be accompanied by a slight curvature of the hatch. It is simple to solve the problem - you need to replace the part, and later, using the machine, carefully close the hatch door.
On some Bosch models, this problem may be caused by a rickety fixation tongue. When it is bent, it can not get into the groove to lock, so the hatch does not close. Failure provocateur - a dropped rod on which the tongue rests. To return it to its place, you need to disassemble the hatch, we will describe it below, and show how to change the rod (rod).
The hatch is closed but not blocked
In this case, the error F 16 is accompanied by the fact that the washing does not start, although nothing prevents it. In fact, if the hatch does not lock, the smart washing machine will never start washing.
Hatch handle damage
The handle is an important mechanism involved in both opening and closing the door of the CM. Of course, over time, it can fail. Sometimes manufacturers of Bosch machines are not at all to blame for this problem - the handle could wear out due to careless use.
The handle is worth changing - no need to try to glue it or rewind it with electrical tape.
To replace the handle without the help of a wizard, you need to remove the door and disassemble it. Above, we added a video that shows how properly disassemble the hatch.
Replacing the handle should be done like this:
- Remove the hatch.
- Put it on the floor and unscrew the fasteners.
- Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry the edges of the hatch around the perimeter.
- You will see the following:
- Remove the glass, remembering its location. Turn the hatch over and, armed with a thin screwdriver, push the metal rod.
- Turn the hatch over and use a pair of pliers to pull the shaft out.
- Take a new part, install it.
If everything is done correctly and you no longer see DTC F61 on the display, then the repair is successful. Use the hatch carefully so that such an error no longer appears.
